How It Works

Inside the
vibration damping.

A spring housed in the front tube presses against the needle holder, constantly pushing it back toward the piston. After every strike, the spring absorbs the recoil and releases it slowly — instead of letting the impact force snap straight back into the operator’s hand.
Patented mechanism
— piston & compression spring air-path design (Patent I730)

SN-1350 VIBRATION DAMPING MECHANISM

Spring Buffering + Staged Air Release  →  watch one full strike cycle (loops every 4s)

① SPRING BUFFER – ABSORBS RECOIL FORCE
1A Front Tube 2 Compression Spring 3 Needle Holder impact
① STRIKE – needle drives into the surface
② RECOIL – impact pushes needle holder back, spring starts compressing
③ ABSORB – spring stays compressed, releasing force gradually
④ RETURN – spring extends, holder resets for next strike

② STAGED AIR RELEASE – FORCE RELEASED IN STEPS
4 Cylinder 5 Piston air in (pressurize) exhaust piston reciprocates each cycle
① PNEUMATIC – chamber pressurizes, drives piston to strike
② HOLD – piston stays forward as needle absorbs recoil
③ EXHAUST – air vents, pressure releases in a controlled step
④ RESET – piston returns, ready for next cycle

SPRING ABSORBS RECOIL  +  AIR PATH RELEASES STRIKE FORCE IN STAGES
Both mechanisms cycle together so vibration reaching the handle is spread out, not slammed.

VIBRATION LEVEL: 1.5 m/s² (LOW-VIBRATION DESIGN)

CORRESPONDING SN-1350 PARTS
1A  FRONT TUBE – fixed end for the spring
4  CYLINDER – staged air supply / exhaust
2  COMPRESSION SPRING – main damping element
5  PISTON – reciprocates to drive the strike
3  NEEDLE HOLDER – absorbs impact recoil

    FAQ

    Common Questions.

What is the SN-1350 used for?
It’s a mini air needle scaler for stripping rust, paint, and scale from metal surfaces — built for tight spaces and detail work.

    Who is this tool for?
Auto body techs, welders, and maintenance crews who need to prep metal in corners a full-size scaler can’t reach.

How is it different from a standard needle scaler?
It’s 0.65 kg and delivers 1.5 m/s² vibration — over 70% lower than comparable tools — while keeping the same 6,000 BPM cleaning speed.

Does lower vibration mean less cleaning power?
No. The SN-1350 still runs at 6,000 blows per minute, so cleaning speed stays high while hand fatigue drops.

    Can it be used one-handed?
Yes. At 0.65 kg it’s built for one-hand control, making it easier to work in awkward angles and tight corners.

How long do the needles last?
In internal testing, the SN-1350’s needles recorded 0 breakages at 20,000 cycles, benchmarked against Japan Nitto needle samples.
